Casa Campana

A beautifully restored 18th century farmhouse enjoying stunning views of the surrounding olive groves and the valley beyond. Casa Campana and its comfortable annex (together sleeping 12 adults) are situated near the end of a quiet, country road ensuring tranquillity and privacy.

AccomModation

The main house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms (one en-suite) and the annex has two bedrooms and one bathroom. There is comfortable living space in both the main house and the annex.

Pool & Gardens

A 14 x 6 metre infinity pool with a diving board and hydro-massage spa surrounded by a large tiled terrace, lawns, gardens and olive groves. The pool area enjoys a panoramic view across the idyllic Val di Chio.

Dining

The main house has a large modern open-plan kitchen with a separate dining area; the annex has a dine-in kitchen. There are two covered outside eating areas: one overlooking the valley and one with a brick barbecue next to the restored original pizza oven.

Additional facilities

Wifi throughout property and a smart TV in the main house. The annex has a cellar/games room: table tennis, table football; washing machine and dryer. Underfloor heating/cooling in main house and air conditioning and central heating in annex. Gated entrance with ample parking

Frequently asked questions

Is the house child friendly? Are linens and regular cleaning provided? Can in-house cooking be arranged? What are your terms & conditions? What if I would like to know more about the area? What if we have other questions?

Child safety is important to us. We have installed in all bedrooms child-safety locks on windows and French windows. Please note that the pool is not fenced-off and small children will need to be supervised at all times.

Available are: child door-gates, high-chairs, children’s chairs, playpen, children’s beds, toys and pool inflatables.

Bedroom linens and towels, including pool towels, are provided. The house will be cleaned mid-week.

This may be arranged at an additional cost and  preferably prior to arrival. Please contact us for more details.

Acceptance of the terms & conditions is required before booking can be confirmed.

Payment terms and other:

– 30% of the rental fee is due and payable on acceptance of the booking request.

– The balance is due and payable at least 60 days prior to the start of the rental period.

– Both amounts are non-refundable with one exception: should you (the person in whose name the booking was made) in the period of your booked holiday, not be able to travel to Italy due to governmental travel restrictions in your country of departure and / or in Italy you may request, in writing, cancellation of your reservation. Upon receipt and satisfactory review of the circumstances we will refund all payments made.

– A security deposit of Euro 500 must be received 10 days prior to the start of the rental period.

– Check-in time between 4pm and 6 pm. Check-out time before 10am or as arranged differently with the house manager.

– Smoking and pets are not permitted in the property.

We will provide you with a list of supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, etc.  There are travel guides in the house.

About us

When we bought Casa Campana it was almost a ruin. For centuries it had been used as a contadino house for families of farmers, who worked for big local landowners. 

The original farmhouse was restored by a local geometra and a team of highly-skilled craftsmen who carefully preserved original features and modernised the facilities. Over the years, the house manager and the others who help maintain the house have become friends. 

We are happy to make Casa Campana available for a select few weeks a year (see the calendar) as it is mostly in active family use.

Casa Campana is used by our family for much of the year and is generally only available to rent a limited number of weeks per year.
